The relationship between the railway and the city as an infrastructure system can be ambivalent and contradictory.On the one hand,railway supports mass mobility and economic development of cities and regions. It contributes to the discovery of urban ground and plays an important role in the process of re-urbanization of cities as centers of living, business and culture. On the other hand, it has a destroying impact on urban structure.In today`s cities many territories and sites are disconnected or even isolated from their context.
Other sites near infrastructure systems are unused and in the search for renewed urban life. These considerations raise the question of new urban concepts to revitalize the spaces in-between and above railway tracks.This project intends to offer an experimental answer to the raised question in combination with urban design for the future.
