kinh.architects art hotel is in the known art district of BeiJing. 798 art district use to be a factory site, which was turn into a gallery and art space, therefore the requirement for this building was to create a interessting architecture fitting to this district. Based on the concrete structure of an existing office building this 126-room 4 star hotel volume and the façade design refer to the situation of the building seating between undefined architecture. With its striking elevation the hotel defines a new orientation point for the sourrounding area. kinh.architects is also responsibel for the interior design of the hotel. Starting in June with the schematic and concept design, following with the design development the whole planning should be finished end of the year. The hotels opening is plan to be open beginning next year.
