located in the near of the busy street of nanluguxiang and in the old city fabric of the beijing dongcheng district, this transformation project from kinh.architects intent to reinstate the original structure of the storage building, whilst carefully retaining the original interior space of the building that remained largely intact. Providing space for office, meeting and kitchen functions the building also try to be a intervention for this underdeveloped area, attracting other peopel to open cultural spaces in the near. Therefore the project also feature a small gallery for temporary exhibitions. The facade of the storage building was keep simpel, in order to be a counterpoint for the chaotic and messy hutong houses.
