Odilo Schoch is architect handling projects in Switzerland, Germany and China. He is full Professor at the School of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), Switzerland. Since 2011 he is visiting Professor at the School of Architecture at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
Odilo Schoch’s academic work started at renowned ETH Zurich the chair of Prof. Dr. Ludger Hovestadt. His introduction of the ‘digital chain’ as a concept to design with computation is a successful approach to rethink architectural design as an integrated and interconnected process of various actors. As Assistant Professor of the CITA (Centre for Information Technology and Architecture) at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in Copenhagen, Denmark, he researched and taught on customizable design processes and tools for Building Information Modelling (BIM).
